Volume V Plate 63 - Bronze Statuettes ~ The three lower views illustrate bronze figurines of the god of the underworld, Osiris. Numerous statuettes were most probably created during the Ptolemaic Period, a time when the great Egyptian civilization was finally coming to an end. Here, the god wears all the trappings of a proper Osiris representation: the atef crown, the crook (heka) and the flail (nkhakha).
